YEAST MIXTURE:

  • 1 tsp. sugar

  • 2 Tbsp. yeast

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 4 Tbsp oil

  • dash of salt

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

  • 4 1/2- 5 cups barley flour

TOPPINGS:

  • honey

  • syrup

  • jam

  • powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix yeast mixture together and let sit for 10 minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together oil, salt, and water.

  3. After 10 minutes, add the yeast mixture and stir together.

  4. Begin adding the flour, one cup at a time, mixing thoroughly. Add only enough flour to make a soft dough.
