Country Style Biscuits and Gravy

Our barley flour ads a smoother texture and nutty flavor that will really enhance your biscuits and gravy.

  1. Ingredients:

  2. Cook 1lb of ground sausage.

  3. turn down to medium heat and add an additional 1/2 stick of butter to make increase the drippings to make the roux.

  4. add 2/3 c of barley flour and mix with the sausage and drippings (add 1/3 c at a time).

  5. Slowly mix in 1 qt of milk

  6. Add 1/2 cap full of liquid smoke.

  7. Add 1 tsp of parsley.

  8. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes and stir occasionally so the gravy doesn't stick to the bottom.
